Employment (Amendment) Odinance 2007
The Federation of HK Hotel Owners held a briefing session for the Ordinance. Mr Alan WONG, JP, Assistant Commissioner (Labour Relations) of Labour Department attended the briefing session and made a power point presentation. After the Q & A session, the trade raised that the “tips on bill” and “performance incentives” should be exempted from the calculation of the annual payment. The reasons are that these payments are non-contractual and nothing to do with the employer.
