I am pleased to announce that the Federation of Hong Kong Hotel Owners and Hong Kong College of Technology (HKCT) have solidified our partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed today.
This MoU aims to further strengthen our joint efforts in nurturing local hospitality talent – so crucial amidst industry recovery and workforce challenges. It was an honor to officially cement these commitments alongside Ada Li, Acting President of HKCT.
Some key highlights of the agreement include:
• Organizing Other Learning Experience (OLE) workshops for secondary students to spark early interest in our dynamic sector.
• Advising HKCT's tourism, hotel and culinary courses from an industry lens to optimize student preparedness.
• Providing enriched internship placement opportunities for our members and HKCT students.
Member hotels who are interested in offering internships, behind-the-scenes hotel visits for HKCT students or participating in hospitality workshops for secondary students exploring career paths in the Hotel industry are welcome to engage the Federation.
Cultivating our future generations of hospitality professionals is an imperative we take pride in. We are thankful for HKCT's dedication to quality education and look forward to deepening this co-operation.
