Meeting with the Vocational Training Council on June 26, 2019

This was the first formal meeting between The Federation of Hong Kong Hotel Owners and the Vocational Training Council. Besides the member representatives of the Federation, human resources management representatives of different hotels also attended the meeting. Representatives from the Federation made comments and suggestions on the structure, teachers, curriculum content and trainee programs of the Vocational Training Council in detailed, in order to effectively solve the labour shortage of the hotel industry. The Vocational Training Council has responded to the members' questions, and promised that the recommendations will be reviewed to improve the existing curriculum and administrative deficiencies of the Vocational Training Council. The VTC also promised to work more closely with the Hong Kong Hotel Owners Association in future, working together to solve the labour shortage of hotel industry.
