I am writing to provide an update regarding the Hotel Information Assessment Survey and Hong Kong Tourism Board's (HKTB) reponse to address the concerns raised by members of the Hong Kong Hotels Association and the Federation of Hong Kong Hotel Owners. The Federation would like to express our sincere appreciation for HKTB's engagement and clarification in this matter.
The HKTB has assured us that all data collected during the survey will be used solely for statistical purposes. The results will be anonymized and presented in an aggregated format to ensure confidentiality. The HKTB will not disclose this data to any third parties, including Government departments or its statutory bodies.
Furthermore, HKTB confirms the following:
-
Any newly added items under the facility section will not be included in the score compilation for this round of assessment.
-
Hotel tariffs will remain unchanged during the grace period until the next round of survey, tentatively scheduled for Q1 2025.
-
The data collected from our hotel partners in this current round of survey will be used exclusively for this round and will not carry over to future assessments.
Member hotels can submit your return and participate in this voluntary assessment survey by 19 February 2024.
We have also attached the PowerPoint presentation and reponse from HKTB in this email for members' reference.
