Hong Kong’s hospitality industry has entered a new and important phase. As recovery continues to consolidate, strengthened aviation and cross-border connectivity, together with a vibrant calendar of exhibitions, conferences, cultural programmes, concerts, and major sporting events, have helped restore momentum and confidence across both leisure and business travel. The direction is clear: our sector is moving beyond stabilization toward upgrading — with greater emphasis on quality, resilience, and long-term competitiveness.

At the same time, the operating landscape remains dynamic and demanding. Travel patterns are evolving, guest expectations are rising, and cost pressures continue to shape business decisions across the sector. These realities call for discipline, adaptability, and forward-looking investment. They also provide a catalyst for modernization — through strengthened talent development, thoughtful adoption of technology to enhance productivity and consistency, and sustained commitment to service excellence that safeguards Hong Kong’s reputation as a world-class destination.

The Federation of Hong Kong Hotel Owners will continue to serve as a professional and constructive platform for our trade. We are committed to consolidating members’ views, maintaining effective and substantive dialogue with government and stakeholders, and advocating policies that support a stable, competitive, and sustainable operating environment.

Over the past year, our engagement with the government has deepened further. A number of our recommendations have been incorporated into the recent Policy Address and Budget, This demonstrates the value of unified, evidence-based advocacy and constructive collaboration. When our industry speaks with clarity, professionalism, and shared purpose, our perspectives are heard and respected.

Looking ahead, we will continue to strengthen communication, enhance stakeholder partnerships, and support initiatives that reinforce Hong Kong’s international positioning. The city’s unique role as a global gateway — together with expanding synergy within the Greater Bay Area — presents meaningful opportunities for deeper business exchange, multi-destination travel, and broader visitor diversity.

On behalf of the Federation, I extend my sincere appreciation to all members for your continued support, trust, and active participation. Your professionalism and unity form the foundation of our collective strength. As we move forward into the next chapter, we will remain steadfast in supporting our members, upholding standards, and advancing together with confidence and determination.
