Invitation to Participate in Labour Department’s Building a Multicultural Workplace Job Fair

We are pleased to inform you that the Labour Department will organize the “Building a Multicultural Workplace Job Fair” to promote employment opportunities for job seekers, particularly those from ethnic minorities. This event provides an excellent platform for employers and job seekers to connect, and we strongly encourage your participation.

The job fair will be held as follows:

  • Date: 24 & 25 July 2025 (Thursday & Friday)
  • Time: 10:45 am - 5:30pm
  • Venue: 1/F, MacPherson Stadium, 38 Nelson Street, Mong Kok (Indoor Venue)

Each accepted organization will be assigned an independent booth on either 24 or 25 July (the exact date will be confirmed later). Participating companies will have the opportunity to introduce job openings, accept applications, and conduct on-the-spot interviews with potential candidates. There is no participation fee.

To maximize outreach, the Labour Department will promote the job fair through various channels, such as their website, employment centres, SMS notifications to registered job seekers, advertisements in ethnic minority magazines, radio broadcasts, and press releases. This comprehensive publicity aims to attract a diverse pool of candidates.

Participating organizations are required to provide at least 10 job vacancies for job seekers to apply, among which at least two should be suitable for ethnic minorities. Priority will be given to employers who can offer positions with little or no Chinese language requirement, making them particularly accessible to ethnic minority candidates.

If your hotel is interested in participating, kindly complete the attached intention form and fax it to 2851 3734 / 2850 5191 by 9 May 2025. Please note that late applications will not be considered. In the event that the number of applicants exceeds the available booths, allocation will be determined by lottery. All applicants will receive preliminary results via email on or before 30 May 2025.

For further information, please refer to the attached documents or contact the Labour Department: Mr. Kwok at 2153 3982 or Ms. Yuen at 2153 3134.

Important Reminder:

The statutory minimum wage will be increased from the current $40 per hour to $42.10 per hour starting from 1 May 2025. Please ensure all job offers comply with this new requirement.
